SummaryThe Slosson Intelligence Test and the Preschool Attainment Record (PAR) were administered to 134 black and 14 white Head Start enrollees, to assess the validity of the PAR as a test of intelligence and to determine its factor structure. Only one factor was found for the PAR, accounting for 69% of the variance. The results are interpreted as indicating the need for standardization of the PAR.
