A method is proosed for the analysis of plant distributions from the relative positions of individual plants rather than from the numbers of plants occurring in successive small areas. The method is illustrated by reference to the detailed distribution in nature of Solidago rigida and of plants infected with nettlehead, a virus disease of hops.
