Abnormal Laboratory Tests in the Alcoholic Patient

Abstract

The results of some 20 different laboratory tests made on blood samples taken from 76 consecutive patients at their first attendance at a specialist clinic for problem drinkers are reported. The incidence of positive results for the various tests is discussed with their possible application in diagnosis, assessment and management.
