| dc.description | Two new cases of induced apogamy in common European species of ferns arc described. Meiosis in the apogamously produced sporophytes has been investigated and compared with that of sexually produced sister plants. The importance of these observations in relation to previous evidence regarding the mode of origin of the wild species is discussed. |
