The hydrothermal reaction of Co(MeCO2)2·4H2O, 2,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole and 4-hydroxy-isophthalate (or isophthalate) resulted in two isostructural metalâ organic frameworks and X-ray single-crystal structural analyses revealed that they have non-interpenetrated double-layered frameworks with 1-D nanosized channels encapsulated removable 2,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole and water molecules.
