The examples given in this book illustrate the complexity of selective oxidation catalysts. Because of their dynamical nature meaningful structureâ reactivity relationships can only be obtained under the conditions of catalyst operation using suitable in situ analysis. Besides other aspects the role of water omnipresent in selective oxidation reactions requires further clarification.
