Reactions of α-phenethyl-β-borylallylsilane with aldehydes afforded tricyclic trans-1,2-benzooxadecaline frameworks stereoselectively in the presence of Lewis acids via sequential incorporation of two different aldehydes followed by cationic cascade cyclization, ending up with intramolecular Friedelâ Crafts reaction.
