In this paper, we suggest two schemes of implementing 2-D perfect shuffle interconnection networks in an optical system by inserting quadrant-encoded gratings in proper position and a corresponding spatial filter in the Fourier plane. Principles of the schemes are clarified in detail and experimental results are given.
