dc.description Based on accurate values of refractive indices, the phase matching angles (θ<sub>m</sub>) and effective nonlinear coefficients (d<sub>eff</sub>) for type I and II sum frequency mixing of 1.0795 and 1.3414 μm radiations were calculated in KTP crystal. The optimum phase matching conditions are that θ<sub>m</sub> = 75.74° in the XZ plane (ϕ = 0) and d<sub>eff</sub> = 17.42 × 10<sup>-9</sup> esu. The calculated results agree well with the experimental results. Thus, the cw 0.5981 μm sum frequency radiation was achieved in KTP crystal using a 1.0795 and 1.3414 μm double-wavelength Nd:YAP cw laser.
