In this comment we show that a two-parameter perfect-fluid solution of Einstein's field equations recently published, which is supposed to represent a differentially rotating body, is, in fact, not axially symmetric according to the standard definition. We determine the ranges of the parameters such that this metric is physically well motivated and discuss the necessity of finding a theory which determines the conditions for an axial symmetry with a singular axis to be well defined.
