Application of the particle-harmonic vibrator intermediate-coupling model to the negative parity states of ¹⁰⁹Ag yields good agreement with the experimental level spectrum but has limited success in reproducing E2 and M1 properties. Better overall agreement with experiment is obtained on applying the quasiparticle-anharmonic vibrator version of the model.
