The Clebsch-Gordan coefficients for the two-parameter quantum algebra SU<sub>p,q</sub>(2) in the Lowdin-Shapiro approach

The structure of the irreducible representations of the two-parameter quantum algebra SU<sub>p,q</sub>(2) is studied. The projection operators for this algebra are constructed in the Lowdin-Shapiro form. The explicit analytical expressions for the SU<sub>p,q</sub>(2) Clebsch-Gordan coefficients are obtained with the help of these projection operators. There are clear perspectives to elaborate the theory of tensor operators, universal R-matrix, 6j, 9j symbols, etc for the SU<sub>p,q</sub>(2) algebra using the same tools.
