By a real-space renormalization-group method, the authors have calculated the dynamic hopping conductivity of a one-dimensional hopping system with hierarchically distributed transition rates. Their numerical results show that the conductivity can display rather different types of low- and high-frequency behaviour as the value of the hierarchical parameter R is varied. |
