State-selective measurements of transfer-excitation (TE) made by 0 degrees electron spectroscopy show resonant transfer-excitation (RTE) and non-resonant transfer-excitation (NTE) to be important in 50-500 keV He++H2 collisions. In particular, the (2p2)1D state shows a pronounced resonance in unexpected agreement with the impulse approximation model of RTE, usually valid for much faster asymmetric systems, as well as with recent two-electron AO+ calculations of TE for He++H. Target binding energy effects, up to now unobservable in highly asymmetric collisions, are also observable, reflecting untested parameters of the overall RTE mechanism.
