The author has evaluated the first five terms in the asymptotic series for the wavefunctions of two-electron systems. The general approach is also useful for evaluating perturbed wavefunctions. It allows one to obtain simple but reliable expressions for many properties of two-electron systems, such as polarisabilities, van der Waals constants, three-body coefficients, hyperpolarisabilities, higher-order Zeeman shifts, etc.
