A new low-energy 29-state R-matrix calculation including the n5 states of neutral helium is reported. The 1<sup>1</sup>S-2<sup>3.1</sup>S transitions are re-examined and the authors show that the close-coupling expansion has converged for these transitions below the ionization threshold. In addition, collision strengths for transitions from the ground state to n=4 states are presented for the first time.
