dc.description The differential cross section and dispersional correction for the real part of the elastic scattering amplitude of an x-ray photon by a molybdenum atom in the energy range of the ionization threshold of the 1s-shell is calculated in the non-relativistic approximation. The effect of the rearrangement of electron shells of the atomic residues in the field of the virtual 1s-vacancy is taken into account. The processes of one-photon multiple excitation/ionization of the ground state is also considered. Good agreement with the results of existing experiments is obtained.
