Squeezing at steady state in a driven two-photon (TP) optical system with the intracavity mode affected by the TP absorption effect has been investigated in the good cavity limit under resonance conditions. Squeezing may be found both in the passive and in the active cavities if the mode intensity or the absorption is strong enough. The influence of the absorption on the bistability of the steady state is also analysed.
