Positron velocity distributions (spectra) in argon, neon and (argon+neon) systems have been calculated under the influence of electric and magnetic fields for various positron-atom interaction models. It is found that a magnetic field shifts the distributions to lower energies and an electric field causes shifts to higher energies. From the calculated spectra, the annihilation decay rate has been estimated and compared with that from experiment. |
