dc.description A theoretical model based on the CDW approximation of Cheshire (1964) for K-shell electron capture by stripped nuclei from multi-electronic atoms at high energies has been derived. The influence of the projectile-passive-electron interaction has been properly taken into account in addition to the well known nucleus-nucleus interaction. As an application of this model, differential cross sections for H<sup>+</sup>+He(1s<sup>2</sup>) to H(1s)+He<sup>+</sup>(1s) are calculated and compared with other recent theoretical and experimental data.
