The spectrum of MgBr excited in a high-frequency discharge using argon as a carrier gas revealed a number of new bands in the far-ultraviolet region lambda lambda 2035-2125 AA. These bands have been vibrationally analysed and assigned to four brief systems attributed to transitions from D, E, F, G states to the ground X<sup>2</sup> Sigma state, analogous to the isoelectronic SrF molecule. |
