The 1s2s2p<sup>2</sup> <sup>5</sup>P-1s2p<sup>3</sup> <sup>5</sup>S transitions in the beryllium isoelectronic sequence

An MCDF-EAL calculation on the 1s2s2p<sup>2</sup>, 1s<sup>2</sup>2s2p and 1s2p<sup>3</sup> states in the beryllium isoelectronic sequence has been used to predict fine structures and transition wavelengths for atomic numbers in the range 4<Z<20. The authors report improved agreement for the <sup>5</sup>P-<sup>5</sup>S transition wavelengths with experiment in C III, N IV and O V by comparison with previous MCDF-OL calculations.
