Аннотация:
The near-infrared photoluminescence spectrum of GaP:Fe consists of four zero-phonon lines. These have been subjected to uniaxial stress and magnetic fields and the results prove conclusively that they are transitions between crystal-field split levels of Fe<sup>2+</sup> (d<sup>6</sup>) in a tetrahedral environment. Effects of Jahn-Teller coupling on the positions of the energy levels are considered.
