The nuclear magnetic resonance of 25Mg has been examined from 77 to 503 degrees K. The Knight shift of 0.112+or-0.004% is in good agreement with earlier values and is temperature independent within experimental uncertainties, in strong contrast to the other divalent hexagonal close-packed metal Cd. The nuclear electric quadrupole coupling parameter has been determined at 295 degrees K from the field dependence of the second order splitting of the central magnetic transition and has the value e2qQ/h=281+or-4 kHz. The dipolar linewidth, assumed Gaussian, is about 2 sigma =180 Hz.
