The electrical conductivity of n-type GaS single crystals has been measured along the perpendicular to the c direction of the crystals. An excess of thermal activation energy and a frequency dependent conductivity in the direction parallel to the c axis of the crystal was observed. These effects were not observed in the p-type crystals. A hopping conduction in the n-type crystals along the c direction is inferred.
