| dc.description | The authors point out that azimuthal magnetic fields are generated by the nonlinear surface currents associated with surface waves propagating along a plasma cylinder. Consequently, they believe that measurements of these fields will introduce quite new possibilities for the diagnostics of surfatrons or other plasmas with surface waves. The magnetic field strength as a function of the surface wave intensity is also calculated. |
