| dc.description | The calibration of an optical pyrometer against a tungsten strip lamp has been extrapolated from the maximum temperature of the lamp, 2300 degrees C, to 3100 degrees C. The accuracy of the extrapolation has been shown to be within 0.65% by the use of sectored discs and a unique tungsten black-body source. |
