| dc.description | Describes a technique to balance an intensity based, remote optical sensor. The system measures only intensity changes at the sensor head compensating for any losses in the leads and detection system external to the sensor. Results from an experimental system are presented which demonstrate a stable output reading, to within the processor error of +or-1%, for -20 dB attenuation in input power levels. |
