A simple device to generate a stream of uniform sized liquid droplets is described. The device produces droplets in a range between 50 and 300 mu m in diameter. Inexpensive and easy-to-make glass capillaries are utilised to produce the liquid jet. Measurement of inter-drop separation with an optical microscope is used to monitor the size of the droplets in situ. |
