A simple charge dispensing attachment for flash evaporation is described. A flat strip with a hole in its centre slides under a squarely fitting charge container. Each time the hole passes under the container, a small amount of charge corresponding to the volume of the hole is transferred onto a heated boat. The longitudinal oscillatory movement of the strip can be imparted by an electromagnet or a pulley operated through a Wilson seal.
