The author describes the design and construction of a diffusion cloud chamber which could be easily constructed by college students. Although the chamber operates with liquid air, oxygen or nitrogen coolant it could easily be adapted for operation with dry ice by simply mixing it with alcohol or acetone. Operating procedure, sensitivity as well as safety precautions are discussed.
