| dc.description | A problem with the mercury shutter of a <sup>60</sup>Co teletherapy unit which resulted in a 15% reduction in output is described. A blockage in the air line going to the lower part of the shutter tank was causing some mercury to be trapped in that corner of the tank. The solution to the problem without the removal of the source is outlined. |
