To improve image visualization an inexpensive magnifier-rotator has been developed. Images can be magnified up to four times normal size and both rotated and translated upon the display system. The x-y voltage coordinates from the Anger scintillation camera can be modified electronically, resulting in magnified and/or rotated images on the camera's display system. Although gamma camera spatial resolution is not increased, magnification provides enhanced visualization of the displayed image by the human observer. Image rotation allows flexibility in setting regions of interest over the gamma camera image without the use of interactive displays.
