The work of Anastassiades and Petousis (ibid., vol.21, p.128 (1976)) is continued. A microphone was placed externally on the skin of the neck of human subjects so that is in touch with the pulse of the common carotid artery. The spectra obtained were analysed. The conclusions reached include that the carotid behaves selectively as an oscillator with eigenfrequencies in the vicinity of 2.7-3.0 Hz.
