| dc.description | A method for measuring images retrieved from reflection holograms is presented. Holographic images of a well defined three-dimensional object are measured using the Reflex Metrograph. The holograms were reconstructed using both coherent and incoherent radiation. These measurements allow conclusions to be drawn about the degree of deformation or magnification inherent in reflection holograms. To illustrate this technique a reflection hologram of an orthodontic cast of teeth and gums has been made and measurements on it have been performed. This provides sufficient accuracy for orthodontic applications. |
