Tokamak and Doublet are schemes for confinement and ohmic heating of plasma. A number of scaling laws for these devices are discussed. These scaling laws stem from requirements that the plasma be stable against a number of instabilities or that the energy losses due to impurity radiation, heat conduction, etc. The scaling laws are found compatible with the experimental results from Tokamak-3. It is found that a higher value of beta may be obtained in Doublets than in Tokamaks. |
