dc.description The evaluation of the general expression of the nonlinear force of laser-plasma interaction showed discrepancies depending on the assumptions of the phase and collisions in the expressions used for E and H. While the first order terms of the derivations are remaining unchanged, new third order terms are found for the case of perpendicular incidence without collisions. With collisions, the additional nonponderomotive terms are derived to be more general than known before. The authors are then able to evaluate the forces for oblique incidence with collisions and find an absorption caused force in the plane of the plasma surface.
