Describes the numerical experiments on the instability and damping of one-dimensional standing Langmuir waves. These experiments were performed in the region of initial wave parameters E<sub>o</sub><sup>2</sup>/8 pi nT>m/m>(k<sub>o</sub>r<sub>d</sub>)<sup>2</sup> in a wide range of initial wave amplitudes E<sub>o</sub><sup>2</sup>/8 pi nT approximately 4.10<sup>-2</sup>-10<sup>2</sup> and phase velocities Vph/V<sub>T</sub> approximately 16-48.
