Pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques at high magnetic fields have been used to measure the Knight shift and spin-lattice relaxation rate of 63Cu in the Laves phase system Cu2-xZnxMg for 0<or=x<or=0.5. The peak in the density of states near x approximately=0.3 observed earlier is confirmed. The extremely large quadrupole interaction of nu Q=15 MHz explains why the copper resonance has not been observed previously.
