Measurements of the resistivity of PdGd samples (containing between 3 and 10 at.% Gd) from 1.5 to 10 K in zero field and in a fixed field of 70 kOe are presented, along with longitudinal magnetoresistance data in fields up to 85 kOe at fixed temperatures of 1.5, 4.2 and 10 K. These data support previous conclusions that this system exhibits predominantly ferromagnetic ordering at low temperatures, although for concentrations of Gd above 5 at.% a more complicated ground-state spin configuration seems to exist. The rho against T data on the latter samples display features similar to those reported for YGd alloys with a helical spin arrangement in the ground state. The magnetoresistance data are in general qualitative agreement with the above conclusions, although neither set of measurements provide sufficient information to evaluate the ground-state spin configuration unambiguously.
