The Tien-Gordon expression for the quasiparticle current against an exterior RF voltage is in conflict with Maxwell's equations, if the RF voltage is space independent. With the help of a travelling wave model for the microwaves in the oxide barrier and self coupling of the current via the wave number of the travelling waves, the problem has been solved for small RF amplitudes. The self coupling results in a nonlinear dispersion relation for the travelling waves. |
