The temperature dependence of the g value and linewidth for alloys of Gd(4f<sup>7</sup>) in Pd have been studied for concentrations between 0.02 at% and 6 at%. In the extreme dilute limit a g value of 1.77+or-0.01 has been obtained, increasing as a function of concentration to 1.95+or-0.01 at 6 at%. The results suggest that the system is not bottlenecked at any temperature or concentration, and the concentration dependence of the g value is interpreted as evidence of the filling of 4d states by solute valency electrons. The effects of magnetic ordering in the more concentrated alloys are clearly reflected in a broadening of the line and an increase in the g value as the temperature is reduced. The residual linewidth appears to be strongly frequency dependent.
