The pressure dependence of the quadrupole interaction in beta gallium has been measured. The effect is linear to pressures of 240 mn m<sup>-2</sup> and (deltanu<sub>q</sub>/deltap)<sub>t</sub> has the value of 0.285 khz(mn m<sup>-2</sup>). The temperature and pressure effects for beta gallium are compared with the corresponding values for other known metals. |
