| dc.description | The magnetic excitation dispersion relation of ordered, ferromagnetic Pt<sub>3</sub>Mn has been measured by neutron inelastic scattering techniques at 80 and 293K. The dispersion relation is found to be similar to that observed for Pd<sub>3</sub>Fe, but different from previous measurements on Pt<sub>3</sub>Mn. The theoretical interpretation of these dispersion relations is discussed with emphasis on the influence of the bandstructure and the Fermi surface. |
