| dc.description | Using the real-time Green-function approach, the authors investigate the temperature dependence of the Higgs mechanism for the Abelian case and for the Glashow-Weinberg-Salam model. In both cases a critical temperature and the quasiparticle spectra are found. The vacuum expectation value of the Higgs field vanishes at the critical temperature. The implication of such a phase transition is discussed. |
