Analysis of the DWBA for (<sup>7</sup>Li,t) reactions producing alpha-cluster states in <sup>16</sup>O and <sup>20</sup>Ne

The DWBA has been applied to (<sup>7</sup>Li,t) reactions populating alpha -cluster levels in <sup>16</sup>O and <sup>20</sup>Ne, using the Weinberg formulation to describe states unbound to alpha decay. Useful spectroscopic factors are obtained for the K<sup>pi </sup>=O<sup>+</sup> and K<sup>pi </sup>=O<sup>-</sup> bands in these nuclei, with unbound states of high angular momentum found particularly important. A discussion of the DWBA parameters gives confidence in the relative values within a specified band.
