At least one massive neutrino, with mass greater than 1 MeV, can provide an explanation of the residual Goldberger-Treiman discrepancy (1938). Agreement with the π → eν branching ratio requires either one massive neutrino with mass between 34 and 139 MeV, or a number of massive neutrinos with appropriately chosen masses and mixing angles. |
