The endocrinology section of volume 49 is devoted to recent work and thought on the actions of hormones in the central nervous system. In all, seven chapters cover various aspects of the central actions of thyroid hormones, sex steroids, adrenal cortical steroids, insulin and certain gut peptides, and the renin-angiotensin system.
