dc.description With a suitable transformation of parameters, it is found that the experimental angular distributions for the nuclear scattering of 340 Mev nucleons by light elements can be reasonably represented by a characteristic angular distribution. Within the region of validity of the first Born approximation, the radial distribution method has been used to determine the corresponding characteristic nuclear density distribution for light elements.
