| dc.description | In the present investigation targets of natural nickel and isotopically pure <sup>60</sup>Ni were bombarded by deuterons with energies of 8.9 MeV and 8.6 MeV respectively. From the resulting proton energy spectra a number of angular distribution measurements have been made for the <sup>58</sup>Ni(d, p)<sup>59</sup>Ni and <sup>60</sup>Ni(d, p)<sup>61</sup>Ni reactions and spin and parity assignments made to states of <sup>59</sup>Ni and <sup>61</sup>Ni. The results have also been compared with the gross structure peaks in the proton spectra recently reported by Schiffer, Lee and Zeidman. |
